RoadRunner Review: Staying Informed
Dear Families,
We are following the outlined plan for the COVID-19 Coronavirus from the Oregon Conference, they are getting their direction from the state. Emerald Christian Academy will be closed until March 31. Our first day on campus will be April 1st.
Students will be doing E-learning from home on March 30 & 31. You will be receiving more information from our office and from your child's teacher. We will provide options for families who do not have consistent access to internet for their child(ren).
PLEASE CHECK REMIND AND EMAIL regularly for updates!

Principal’s Message
I shared with Mrs. Rodgers this week that I was quite overwhelmed with all the details that we are juggling here to keep up with state, county, and OR conference mandates. She shared with me this thought written by a UofO grad student who was inspired by his Jewish faith tradition to write the following:
Pandemic
What if you thought of it
as the Jews consider the Sabbath—
the most sacred of times?
Cease from travel.
Cease from buying and selling.
Give up, just for now,
on trying to make the world
different than it is.
Sing. Pray. Touch only those
to whom you commit your life.
Center down.
And when your body has become still,
reach out with your heart.
Know that we are connected
in ways that are terrifying and beautiful.
(You could hardly deny it now.)
Know that our lives
are in one another’s hands.
(Surely, that has come clear.)
Do not reach out your hands.
Reach out your heart.
Reach out your words.
Reach out all the tendrils
of compassion that move, invisibly,
where we cannot touch.
Promise this world your love--
for better or for worse,
in sickness and in health,
so long as we all shall live.--Lynn Ungar 3/11/20
