Summer at ECA is a busy place. Already we have hosted an area-wide VBS, and just this week, the Oregon Old-Time Fiddlers Association is wrapping up a week-long fiddle camp. School projects continue to be finished, and we are getting excited about school starting again in the late summer.
A special thank you to all of the volunteers and families who helped decorate and celebrate the 4th of July in the Creswell Parade. It was fun to get out into the community and share our school spirit. And following the morning parade, it was great to celebrate the evening at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for their annual firework show. Thank you Dan Tanner for putting on a great show and helping make the Pleasant Hill Community such a special place to celebrate Independence Day!
Looking for more fun? If you are looking for an opportunity to get together with your friends for one week this summer, consider our upcoming AG Camp. This is a week-long 1/2 day camp that we are excited to offer to the community. Call the school if you have any questions or if you would like to register. We hope to see you for a fun week!
Christian Counseling Available - Free Resources:
The NAD (North American Division of SDA) has recently shared new resources for children and teens that offer a safe and anonymous place to talk or text. Here is a news release from the NAD.
We’re excited to announce the launch of www.aruggedjourney.org our newest NAD site providing free online mentoring for guys. A Rugged Journey joins www.gorgeous2god.org (for young women) which has grown in its scope and ministry since its beginning in 2017.
These sites, along with their counterparts on social media, provide free help to our teens/young adults in a space they can ask questions without judgment or fear. The questions are answered by a team of dedicated Seventh-day Adventists at AIM on the campus of Andrews University.
In addition to the confidential Q & A, positive content is provided through videos, posts, etc.
