Taste and See

Principal’s Message:

I can hardly wait for Thanksgiving. I feel like breaks come right at the time when we feel like our minds and bodies cannot take another day of the daily grind. This year I find that especially true! This season of thankfulness seems to ask something bigger from us. Our gratitude and our patience for the world around us is being stretched.

Rounding the corner to another state freeze is overwhelming. And yet, we are provided opportunities day in and day out to breathe, learn, grow, move, eat, laugh, cry, and connect. I’m trying to find my way back to the basics of gratitude. What does that look like for you? For me, that looks like reading a book and cooking a full meal. I’m even starting to plan my holiday meals, because they are my favorite!! In Pk/K we are memorizing the following verse: “Taste and see that the Lord is good. blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” Psalms 34:8

May you find connection to the divine when you see the beauty in the world He has created and as you taste the goodness of a delicious bite! Here is a link to my favorite holiday Spiced Cranberry Sauce recipe, a little reminder, for me, of God’s care in my life.
